Carl James

With more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and operations, Carl James brings a hands-on approach and a commitment to quality to his role as Operations Manager for Kilcor’s Metal Services division. Carl's background spans operations, quality assurance, welding, and business leadership. He has served as a business co-owner and operator as well as a Weld Trainer Supervisor, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both the technical and operational sides of the industry. He has also held his AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification since 1999, bringing decades of experience in welding quality and standards to the Kilcor team.

At Kilcor, Carl is focused on driving operational excellence, upholding high-quality standards, and creating an environment where his team has the tools and support they need to succeed. His approachable leadership style allows him to work closely with his team, solve problems in real time, and keep projects moving while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.

Carl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and hitting the golf course whenever he gets the chance.
